UDP monitoring

UDP service monitoring that proves a service answered

Monitor DNS, NTP, STUN, SNMP, SIP, TFTP, QUIC, game and memcached services over UDP with protocol-aware checks, packet loss and jitter.

Silence on UDP is not an answer

A UDP port that never replies is open or filtered, and nothing can tell those apart. ArxEyes checks that the expected protocol response actually arrived, so a result means the service answered rather than that a port might be listening.

Protocols

Speak the protocol you are monitoring

Built-in presets send a real DNS query, NTP client packet, STUN binding request, SNMP get, SIP OPTIONS, TFTP read, QUIC initial, game-server query or memcached stats request, and validate that the reply belongs to the request that was sent.

Quality

Measure loss and jitter, not only reachability

Each check sends several datagrams and reports packet loss and jitter alongside median round-trip time, with their own thresholds. Real-time services degrade long before they stop responding entirely.

Anything else

Send your own payload when no preset fits

Raw mode takes a payload as text, hex or base64 and matches the reply by substring, regular expression or byte prefix, for in-house and less common protocols.
